After an outstanding regular season placing them 6th in the DigitalSports National Basketball Rankings, Indianapolis Arsenal Technical kicked off its playoff campaign in a powerful performance. On March 4, the Titans faced Lawrence North, defeating the Wildcats 82-52.
From the opening possession, Arsenal controlled the game. The Titans took a 13-7 lead in the first quarter and extended it to 28-13 by the half. Arsenal Tech locked up the game in the third quarter after dropping 36 points compared to North’s 17. The Wildcats edged out the fourth quarter 22-18, but Arsenal still walked away with a 30-point win.
Jeremie Tyler, Arsenal’s senior shooting guard, seemingly unable to miss, shot 81% from the field, including 60% from beyond the arc, finished with 29 points. Senior power forward Trey Lyles backed up Tyler’s performance with 15 points, ten rebounds, and five blocks.
This victory sends Arsenal Tech through to the IHSAA Class 4A Semifinals to face Lawrence Central. With more fantastic play to come, the Titans look ready to make a run to the final.
